Field trips are not meant to be the entry point into your students’ learning about the Holocaust. In order to provide the best and most meaningful learning experience for your students, we strongly encourage at least one introductory Holocaust lesson prior to visiting the Holocaust Center. When you request a field trip, we will provide you with recommended introductory lessons. Need help? Email Us!
Due to space constraints, we can only accommodate approximately 35 students at a time. For larger groups, back-to-back sessions are often available. With several great downtown attractions close by, group rotations are easy to plan.
We recommend a 7:1 student-to-chaperone ratio. Teachers are responsible for student supervision at all times.
Absolutely! After the field trip program, students will have the opportunity to hear from a survivor or descendent of a survivor, and ask questions. Please indicate on your field trip request form that you would like to have a speaker. This will add approximately 1 hour to your visit.
We do not have the facilities for students to eat lunch at the Holocaust Center.
